An interdisciplinary approach to waste management study: implementing the EU practices

Participation in the national conference “Circular Economy for Business Development”

Prof. Tetiana Vitenko, Prof. Nataliia Marynenko, Prof. Iryna Kramar who are the executors of the EU Erasmus+ Project (Jean Monnet Module) «An interdisciplinary approach to waste management study: implementing the EU practices» (621029-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) took part in the National Conference «Circular Economy for Business Development», which has been held online on December 15, 2021 under the component «Circular Economy and New Opportunities for Growth» of the program «EU4Environment», funded by the European Union.

During the event, which was attended by more than 170 participants from all over Ukraine, two panel discussions took place: «Approaches to production in a circular economy» and «Waste management: benefits and opportunities».

Measures for sustainable development to be untertaken, benefits and new opportunities for waste management were presented during the conference; the current progress in the transition to a «green» economy, the opportunities and benefits of the principles of resource-efficient, clean production and circular economy at the national and regional levels among representatives of enterprises, government and the public were discussed as well.
